Pretty Wrecked Updates
After a LOT of work, I am proud to present my updated website HERE! Please take a look. On this new site, I highlight my SPEAKING style / availability, and my passion for getting Pretty Wrecked added to high school health CURRICULUMS. (I also love the picture of me on the Curriculum page...:-)
Plus, I am offering autographed, personalized paperback copies of Pretty Wrecked on the site for $20 (shipping included). If you haven't purchased the book yet, this is the time! (It's also my birthday today, 4/29, so... just sayin').
eBook is still available on Amazon, and audiobook is available from multiple sources -- but please consider getting it on Spotify.
Interesting Finds
It's been about 6 months since I dramatically decreased my viewing of social media, and --- it's fucking amazing! I do have to be on Insta or FB for my book posts/stories/promotion, I try to make it as little as possible. IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT PULLING AWAY FROM SOCIAL MEDIA --- DO IT! There are lots of articles about why and how to do this, but I liked THIS ONE the best. And if you need more motivation, watch THIS reel. (Yes, I DO see the irony in the fact that I just told you to get off social media...).
Where I HAVE been spending my time is reading articles on SUBSTACK. Much more informative, useful, less doom and gloom. Check it out, and find your people.
Speaking of Substack... I'm really liking the info posted by Dr. Julie Fratantoni . She's a cognitive neuroscientist and covers lots of mental/physical wellness topics and advice. |

Happy Endings

Dr. Stacy Sims was on the Mel Robbins Podcast a few weeks back, and THIS episode is one EVERY WOMAN over 40 should listen to! The highlights: eat lots of protein, lift heavy weights, and sprint. (I know, I hate sprinting also!) It's worth the 90min listen. Promise. |
I really enjoyed the honesty in THIS article/Q&A with Samantha Perkins (author, TEDx speaker, and educator). She covers topics like 'mommy wine culture', quitting before 'rock bottom', the connection between anxiety and alcohol, and 'informed consent.' (YES -- it covers a lot of ground, it's personal and honest, and isn't too long). | ![]() |
