Interesting Finds |
THIS Insta post about The Red Zone is SO important, and I am glad people are talking more openly and honestly about this disturbing statistic for college girls. Especially Freshman Girls |
What IS The Red Zone? “The Red Zone” refers to the beginning of the school year when a disproportionate number of campus sexual assaults take place. In fact, more than 50% of college sexual
assaults occur between August to November of a students freshman year. It is during these few months when a student is more likely to be assaulted than at any other point in her college career.
These statistics and stories come from real people... like me. It CAN and DOES happen. Click HERE to listen to THE RED ZONE chapter from my audio-book for FREE. Please share this with your high school senior or collage-age daughters and sons. Yes, sons also. In order for these number to go down, we (frankly) need men to STOP assaulting women.
Bonus: THIS reel states other excellent college tips for safety. Listen up!

Can Reading Extend Your Life? Here’s What Science Says

Good news for book nerds!! THIS Verywell Mind article presents statistics from 3600+ participants and results spanning over 14 years to prove that reading DOES extend your life. "They found that participants who read books for 30 minutes or more a day lived an average of 23 months longer than non-readers—even after adjusting for variables like age, gender, education, and health." Wow!
I'm currently reading 'A Court of Mist and Fury' by Sarah J. Maas (book 2 in a 5 book series). I've read two of her other book series - 'Throne of Glass' and 'Crescent City'... LOVE HER WORK! What are you reading?
AND -- I know a book that both you AND your teen (16+) should / would love to read! Get your autographed and personalized copy of Pretty Wrecked HERE.
